Oswego County Opportunities to Offer Free Cancer Screenings

Oswego County Opportunities (OCO) is a cancer services sponsor, now offering free cancer screenings for breast, cervical and colorectal cancer.

“These services are available free of charge to qualifying community members uninsured aged 40-64,” said an OCO representative.

The screenings are available all throughout Oswego County, including at the Oswego office at 10 George St.

Screenings include clinical breast exams, mammograms, pap/pelvic exams and Fecal Immunochemical Test kits.

Regular cancer screenings are essential to keeping a healthy lifestyle. According to OCO’s official website, cancer screenings have helped many women detect cancer at its early stages.

“If it weren’t for this program, I’d be dead,” 39-year-old Cindy Jennings said whenever she speaks about her diagnosis and treatment.

Her story, along with Susan G. Komen’s story, is one of many success stories published on OCO’s website.

To schedule an appointment, call 315-592-0830. For more information, visit OCO’s official website or visit its official OCO Cancer Services Program Facebook Page
