Oswego County’s growing season is just around the corner. During area schools' April Spring Break, youth will have the opportunity to get a head start on their gardens and other horticultural projects by attending Oswego County 4-H’s Spring Break Grows youth program.
This special hands on program will run 9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. Monday, April 23rd through Wednesday, April 25th. Each day, Spring Break Grows participants will take home a project they created: seed tapes, seedlings, transplanted house plant, and so much more.
Spring Break Grows is being held at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Office in Mexico and taught by Oswego County 4-H Educator’s and Cornell Master Gardener, Jan Smith. Oswego County youth ages 8-18 are invited to attend. Advanced registration is requested. To register a child please call the office at 315-963-7286, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A program fee of $30 is charged.
