The Oswego office has been closed on Wednesdays since April while construction crews work on renovating the building.
"Annually the week surrounding the Fourth of July holiday is one of the busiest for DMV services. Due to anticipated volume, the Oswego DMV will be open to the public on Wednesday, July 3," said Oswego County Clerk Michael C. Backus. "Customers are advised that the site is still an active construction zone, so pardon our dust and please follow the signage and pathways to the entrance to the Oswego DMV."
The Fulton and Pulaski DMV offices remain open Monday through Friday. Summer hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. All Oswego County offices will be closed Thursday, July 4, for Independence Day.
"When the construction on the new Oswego DMV is complete, we will have a new footprint for DMV service in Oswego County that serves customers in a welcoming environment," said Backus. "After July Fourth, and until construction is completed, we will remain closed on Wednesdays until further notice."
