The Oswego Lions Club will host the second annual Rivers Edge "handmade" Craft Show, Sunday, June 9. The event will take place on West Liner Park, right on the river's edge, in Oswego, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"The first annual Rivers Edge Craft show was a huge success," said Denise Constanza, Oswego Lions Club organizer. "The music from the bands was wonderful, the kids enjoyed playing on the inflatable slide, and buyers were thrilled with the quality and workmanship of all the crafts. The 'Best of Show' award went to Charlotte Besaw of Hand Candy Mittens. She received free booth rental for this year's show. All of the vendors commented on how well organized and how well run the show was, and many said they would be back for the 2013 show."
The planning of the second annual Rivers Edge Craft Show, sponsored by The Oswego Lions Club, is well under way. The event has been moved to an even bigger venue this year right on the Oswego River, West Linear Park. The organizers are expecting many of the same vendors as last year and have added many new crafters added to the mix. Music will be provided by Johnny Luber and his band the Lubricators will be playing all afternoon. There will also be food and fun for the entire family.
There will be more than 40 craft, food and wine vendors including hand poured candles, homemade dips, and sauces, wood turned kitchen items, florals, cookies, wood creations, outdoor wood furniture and crafts, soaps and lotions, jewelry, canvas bags, homemade purses, tie dye shoes and clothing, handmade children's clothes, and many more wonderful hand crafted items.
Many vendors are coming from as far away as Watertown and Syracuse, added Constanza.
Wine vendors will be at the event from Americana and Lakeland Wineries, and Blowing Smoke Bar-B-Q, Robert and Amanda Reczko will return as the food vendors with the addition of Barlow's Concessions.
This craft show serves as a major fundraiser for the Oswego Lions Club and raises money to help with all the community services the club performs.
Proceeds from past fund-raising Lions Club events have helped to support Camp Hollis, Children's Fund at Oswego Hospital, Oswego Salvation Army, the Elementary School Drug Free Program, the "H" and Mary Dowd scholarship fund as well as provide eyeglasses and hearing aids to individuals in need, just to mention a few.
