Write a commentClear Path for Veterans and the Oswego Music Hall will join forces to host an Oswego County Mobile Canteen. The event is free for all military veterans and their families.
It will take place on Thursday, April 25, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Doors will open at 10:00 a.m. Entertainment will be provided by the Music Hall, and will feature several musicians including veterans Dan Hunnicutt and Jason Cook as well as members of the Old Man Jam - Rich Hart, Brian Rusaw, Frank Stepanek & Julie Clement and more. These musicians will donate their time and talents in support of this great cause.
Clear Path for Veterans is based in Chittenango, NY and serves veterans in surrounding counties, including Oswego County where more than 8,000 veterans reside.
Staff and volunteers will be on hand to serve lunch, offer information and answer questions on the many services and programs Clear Path offers.
“Clear Path for Veterans helped us staff a Meet & Greet Reception in January to raise awareness of resources for veterans.” said Oswego Music Hall Artistic Director Tom Lambert. “They were inspired by The Adam Ezra Group, who played that evening. The Group hosted a music festival last summer that raised over $140,000 to assist Homeless Veterans.”
Lambert continued, “Clear Path’s organizers were so impressed with our positive vibe they asked to host their Mobile Canteen at our venue, and asked if we would provide live music. We jumped at the chance!”
The Music Hall is located inside the historic McCrobie Civic Center at 41 Lake Street in Oswego. The building is wheelchair-accessible. The venue is adjacent to Breitbeck Park, and overlooks Lake Ontario and Oswego Harbor.
