Laura Brazak's Artist Statement
"I moved to Oswego 3 years ago and attended SUNY Oswego where I received a degree in Political Science and a minor in Environmental Sustainability. Since my arrival, I have found the water and the sunsets compelling. I was a full time freelance photographer in Syracuse for nearly 2 decades but never was much for landscapes until I started sailing on Lake Ontario. Now, I take notice of the lake and the river every time I drive thru town. I will actually go out of my way and drive home thru the campus, past Rudy's and along the water! I've learned to watch the Western sky and pay close attention to not only the weather, but also the quality of the light. There is a lot of natural beauty here in Oswego that I never knew existed. I am learning to love the area, its history and especially its future."
The Oswego Public Library is open 10-8 Monday through Thursday and closes at 5 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Call us at 341-5867 or email to oswegopl@northnet.org
