The Oswego Public Library is holding several special events this week and next  in the community room.

Don't miss Madheard this Saturday, July 13, from 3-5 pm in the community room. They will be playing your favorite new and classic, family friendly rock'n'roll for your enjoyment. You won't want to miss out on this.

On Thursday, July 18, the New York State Division of Consumer Protection will share some important tips for homeowners titled, "Learn to Avoid Home Improvement Scams." This will be held in the community room at 12pm. They will also be at the Farmer's Market during the afternoon.

Also, on Thursday, author Norm Dann will talk about Gerritt Smith Miller, grandson to Gerritt Smith, founder of our own public library. Gat, as he was known, grew up in Peterboro and helped with the Underground Railroad. He made his mark importing and breeding Holstein cows. That takes place in the community room at 6 pm.

On July 20 at 11 am, a quartet from the Syracuse Symphony will perform. They will share about stringed instruments and the music they are performing. All are welcome.
