Write a commentResponding to customer requests the Port City CoOp will offer an additional option for people who want to "Sell Their Stuff" during the remaining "OsweGO Sundays FLEA MARKETS" scheduled the 1st and 3rd Sundays of June and July in the Pathfinder Bank Parking Lot on W. 2nd Street in downtown Oswego from 12-5PM.
In addition to being a vendor the new option/addition will be a "Consignment Booth" where the public can drop off priced items they wish to sell and the Port City CoOp will attempt to sell them for you during that scheduled FLEA MARKET. Items can range from antiques to power tools and anything in between but must have a minimal value of $10 or more.
The public must drop off priced items the day of the FLEA MARKET between 9:30-11AM and return between 4:30-5:30PM to receive any proceeds from any sales and/or retrieve any merchandise that was not sold. Consignees will sign a contract detailing the conditions and terms. The Consignee has to allow the CoOp the ability to "negotiate" the price of the item up to a 20% discount. The Consignee also agrees to pay the CoOp a 25% fee if the item sells. Items not picked up by 5:30 the day of the event becomes the property of the CoOp: giving the CoOp the authority to dispose of it/them as they see fit.
The Port City FLEA MARKETS are part of the "OsweGO Sundays" downtown promotion and is in tandem with "Taste the World Specialty Foods and Coffees; Mugs & Motors" an antique, classic and muscle car, truck and motorcycle rally held the same days as the FLEA MARKET but only from 1-4PM on W 1st and Bridge Sts., going South. Along with both events there is live music provided by some of the area's best known musicians.
The first 2 completed "OsweGO Sundays" (May 3 and 17) saw more than 1,000 people in attendance, almost 100 cars, trucks and/or motorcycles and more than 50 vendors. "OsweGO Sundays" has quickly become the place to "GO" on Sundays in "OsweGO" for FREE Family Fun, Entertainment and Community.
