Write a commentIf you are looking for that distinctive gift for someone special, Lakeside Artisans is now offering gift certificates for its popular Paint Nites.
Recipients of the gift certificates can use them to make reservations at any of the Paint Nites conducted by the Lakeside Artisan instructors. Winter 2016 dates are January 11, February 8, and March 14. Paint Nites are held at 7 PM on Monday evenings in the Community Room at the Oswego Commons. The first Paint Nite of 2016 will feature Cindy Schmidt’s Winter Tree.
At the gatherings, Lakeside Artisans members conduct classes in which the participants create an original masterpiece. Each participant will get all the materials needed to create the painting, as well as detailed instructions on the steps and techniques involved.
While Lakeside Artisans provides the canvas and paints, participants are asked to provide their own inspirational spirits, which are believed to help the creative process considerably.
Past Paint Nites have featured adaptations of well-known painting such as Monet’s Water Lilies and Van Gogh’s Starry, Starry Night, as well as original creations such as Michelle Southgate’s Oswego Lighthouse.
