Patricia A. Russell, 87, of Oswego, Passed unexpectedly Friday, October 29th in Syracuse.
Mrs. Russell was the daughter of the late James and Anne (Knight) Fitzgerald. She was a life resident of Oswego.
She was the wife of the late Dennis Russell Sr., who died in 2002, and was predeceased by a daughter, Toni Marie Lamond, who died in 2002, a brother, Maurice “Bummy” Fitzgerald, and a grandson, Joey Bockheim.
Patricia is survived by her son, Dennis (Melanie) Russell Jr., of Oswego; two stepdaughters, Cheryl (Michael) Bockheim of Syracuse, and Denise (Richard) Wallace of Oswego; grandchildren Gerald Dennie of Oswego, Karryn (Michael) Anthony of Scriba, Mathew (Francesca Saviola) Russell of Denver, CO, and Jacob Russell of Denver, CO; great-grandchildren Michael (Kaylee Baldwin) Anthony Jr. of Oswego , Nicole Anthony of Oswego, and Crystal (Chris Anastasio) Anthony of North Syracuse; a great-grandson, Cameron Anthony Anastasio; and many nieces and nephews.
During her life she worked for the Breneman Shade Factory, and babysat quite a few children at her home on Creamery Road in Scriba. She was an officer/member of the Scriba VFW Post, and enjoyed Bingo and Bunco at Simeon Dewitt apartments where she resided for a few years. She enjoyed cruises to Mexico, trips to Las Vegas, and Bingo trips to other casinos.
Pat was a very loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and she will be missed by many who knew her.
Calling hours will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 Saturday, November 6th, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
