Obituaries

     Patricia E. Scherer, 64, a former resident of St. Luke Apartments, passed away Monday morning, Dec. 17, 2012, at Morningstar Care Center in Oswego.      Patricia was born in the town of Oswego, a daughter of the late Phillip and Rena (Reed) Hollenbeck. She was a life resident of the area.Prior to her rtirement, she was employed in the housekeeping department of the Oswego Hospital.
     She is survived by two daughters, Mikelynn Van Patten, of Texas, and Michelle Van Patten, of Oswego; a brother Charles Hollenbeck, of Tennessee; a sister Sandy Hollenbeck, of Oswego; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
     She was predeceased by a son, Derek Scott Van Patten; and a daughter, Pamela Van Patten.
     Funeral services will be private.
     Burial will be in Oswego Town Rural Cemetery.
     There will be no calling hours.
     Arrangements are in care of the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 E. Second St., in Oswego.
