Write a commentPatricia O’Neil, 79, of Oswego, New York, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Oswego Hospital.
Pat was a graduate of SUNY Oswego. She retired from her position as administrative assistant to the head librarian at Penfield Library. Pat enjoyed reading, needlepoint, and especially cooking. She was an accomplished poet. For many years she tended a beautiful herb garden.
Pat was also a talented calligrapher and enjoyed creating intricate mandalas for her family and friends. She loved Bar Harbor and the ocean. She and her devoted husband spent many summers enjoying the coast of Maine. She loved morning walks with her cat, Cricket.
Pat is survived by her beloved husband and partner Luther Robinson, three sisters, Ellen Sarah Brown (Sally), Catherine T. O’Neil (Cathy) and Elizabeth O. Clift (Sandy), a brother, Thomas James O”Neil, two stepsons, Mark Robinson and Eric Robinson, several step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pat was predeceased by her parents Thomas E. O’Neil and Catherine S. O’Neil, her three younger brothers Dennis, Michael (Mickey), Arthur, Lawrence (Artie) and Jeremiah O’Neil (Jerry).
At her request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Dowdle Funeral Home in Oswego has care of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Unity Acres in Orwell or the Rescue Mission of Syracuse.
