Pearl Jean Walpole, 87 of Oswego passed away Wednesday evening in the Oswego Hospital.
She was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late Edwin E. and Adela Adams Cuyler.
Always active in her community, Pearl had been employed with Auxiliary Services, Inc. at Oswego State University.
Pearl brought so much joy to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was very passionate about her children and grandchildren. BEST NANA EVER!! She was always involved in her children's activities, like the Oswego Minor Hockey Association and Little League (both boys and girls) .She loved to watch sports whether it be her kids, grand kids or professional. Most passionate about football, basketball and the Yankees
Pearl enjoyed knitting and crocheting, sometimes donating her creations to local churches, schools and anyone who was in need.
Pearl attended Oswego Alliance Church.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert James Walpole, son Daniel Ellingwood, stepson Robert Walpole, and granddaughter Heidi Ellingwood.
She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Ellingwood and Keli (Paul) Oleyourryk both of Oswego, one son, David (Michele) Walpole of Oswego, one brother, Charles Cuyler of Oswego, one sister Betty (Benny) Beginski of Oswego, two stepchildren, George (Casey) Walpole of Oswego, Charlotte (Roger) Wideman of Fulton, grandchildren, Deana( Kevin)Micheals, Dan(Sheri) Donald( Heather) Buske , Steven, John(Sarah), Paul(Emma)Jr., Danzario, Sebastian Oleyourryk, Michelle (Jamey) Lazio, Shania Walpole, Katie (Tim) Stone, Heather Laracuente, Suzie Etu, Daniel ( Becky) Ellingwood, George, Kara O'Neil, Robert, John Walpole and several great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Pearl was predeceased by her first husband, John Harold Ellingwood, her husband Robert J Walpole, two sons Daniel Ellingwood and Robert Walpole and a sister-in law Nellie Cuyler.
Calling hours will be Sunday March 16, from 2-5PM at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home with a service to follow at 5PM.
Spring burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
