Peter J. Thomas, 53, a resident of Baldwinsville, NY, passed away January 6, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of Alice (Jerry) Blum of Winter haven, Fl; and the late William Thomas.
He was employed as a Managing Mechanical Engineer for Lockheed Martin in Syracuse. He previously worked for B.A.E. in Johnson City for 18 years. He was a racing enthusiast. He was on the racing team for Timmy Nelson's racecar and more recently for Joe Gosek's racing. Peter enjoyed woodworking and traveling.
Surviving besides his mother, is his wife, Patricia (Sivers) Thomas; four brothers, Steven (Marianne) Thomas of Sedona A.Z.; David (Anne) Thomas of N. Syracuse; Gregory (Kelly) Thomas of Oswego; Jeffrey Thomas of Atlanta, G.A.; two sisters, Sandy (Brian) Neal of Concorde, N.H.; Kayleen Thomas of Atlanta, G.A.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, at Faith United Church, 12 Mark Fitzgibbons Dr. Oswego.
Calling hours will be held 3-6 p.m. Saturday, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
