Write a commentThe Village of Pulaski is excited to announce the initiation of its Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) and invites the public to attend the first public meeting on Thursday, June 12.
The event will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Pulaski Village Hall, located at 4917 N. Jefferson St.
The Village of Pulaski is the Central New York Round 8 winner of the $10 million DRI award funded through the New York State Department of State. The DRI program seeks to create vibrant, resilient downtowns where people want to live, work and visit.
The June 12 meeting will kick off the public engagement process for the DRI. It begins with a brief presentation introducing the DRI program and the Village’s successful application. Attendees will then be invited to participate in interactive activities to gather input on priorities and opportunities for the DRI.
Pulaski Village’s DRI is guided by a Local Planning Committee (LPC) which includes representatives from the business community, local organizations and regional entities. The LPC will meet monthly throughout the planning process to support the development of a Strategic Investment Plan (SIP) and ultimately recommend a slate of projects for funding consideration by New York State.
The LPC has launched an open call for projects and invites submissions of project proposals to be included in the SIP. In-person office hours to discuss potential projects will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 12 at the Village Hall, ahead of the public meeting.
