The FUMC Quilters will be holding their 20th annual Quilt and Craft Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m, Saturday, Oct. 19 at First United Methodist Church, 7111 state Route 104 West, Oswego. The church is located across from the Fruit Valley Vet Clinic.
As always, the Ladies of The Cloth have enjoyed creating quilts, table runners, placemats and a variety of items that make great gifts. Just in time for Christmas and all at reasonable prices.
Susan Bartlett of the Four Seasons Quilters will again be presenting "Using Your Stash." She will be demonstrating how to sew with pre-cuts and more ways to use up those pesky scraps.
Joining us this year will be Sweet Shop Desserts for all your baked goods. Sandy Driskell is finally coming back with her jams. You will see the familiar faces of Sandy and Dick Gorman, Nancy Dashner, Grace Raes, Pearl Walpole and Debbie Hough, as well as many new vendors with unique gifts of their own. A coloring contest for children will be held and the winner will receive a gift certificate to a local store.
There will be a Silent Auction and all proceeds of the auction go to the American Cancer Society in memory of our former leader, Kay Godden, because we are determined to find a cure.
From noon on we will be offering a barbecue chicken dinner. The cost is $8 for a full dinner; $4 for just a chicken half. Takeouts available.
