Raymond U. Clary, 88; of Fulton, NY passed peacefully early Wednesday morning, February 12, 2025; surrounded by family at his daughter’s home.
He was born in Oswego, NY to the late Earl and Ethel (Taber) Clary.
Mr. Clary was raised in Oswego and lived in Fulton for over 50 years before returning to Oswego, NY. He retired from the City of Oswego where he worked as a Supervisor with the Water Treatment Plant. Mr. Clary was a member of the Fulton Elk’s Lodge #830 serving as a past District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler.
Ray was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He enjoyed visiting his Chase Lake Region camp where he spent many relaxing moments during his retirement. He also liked watching sports and television with his family. Mr. Clary loved his family and cherished his time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed being a dog lover and considered his last dog “Riley” to be his best friend and most faithful companion.
Mr. Clary was pre-deceased by his wife of 42 years: Sharon A. Clary in 2019, his siblings: Earl Clary, Jack Taber, Ronnie Clary and Larry Clary.
He is survived by his children: Raymond W. Clary of Oswego, Margaret Clary of Fl., Kathleen (Chris) Blum of Oswego, Danette (Michael) Ward of Fulton, Michael (Bonnie) Clary of Fulton and Meegan (Jeffrey) Adkins of Oswego, his siblings: Gerald (Pam) Clary of AL, Brenda (Roger) Rodriguez of FL, Anne Marie (Jim) Vona of OH and Marsha Gigon of Oswego; 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Sunday at the Sugar Funeral Home Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton. A Funeral Service will be conducted 10 AM Monday at Holy Trinity Parish, Fulton where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Joseph Scardella. Burial will be held in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oswego.
