Pastor Nick Iamaio of The Reformed Presbyterian Church in Fulton retired recently and a party was held October 9 to celebrate Nick and Kathy’s service to the congregation over the last 27 years.
Congregation members and friends enjoyed a delicious dinner in the Under the Moon banquet room of Blue Moon Grill with the service equaling the excellence of the food. After dinner, several people rose to share remembrances and express their thanks to the Iamaios. Written remembrances and thanks by some who could not attend were read. A beautiful blanket with the names of members past and present in the shape of a heart, a plaque commemorating Nick’s service and a monetary gift were given as tangible expressions of the congregation’s heartfelt thanks.
Pastor Kit Swartz and Elder Kevin Plummer, much like Ezra and Nehemiah, and others from the Oswego RPC are working with the remnant of the congregation to seek the Lord’s favor in rebuilding efforts. We seek to serve anyone interested in exploring faith and newness of life in Christ or committed to Christ and the building of His church.
Kit Swartz recently preached on the theme Back to Basics: The Essentials of Salvation namely, that we are saved according to the Scriptures alone, by the grace of God alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, among the visible church alone, for good works alone, unto the glory of God alone. We look forward to hearing from Elder Jeff Bulow on 10/24 and then Pastor John Iamaio’s series on
Thanksgiving in the Letter to the Colossians starting on 10/31 and going through November which, of course, includes Thanksgiving Day.
Our facility is located at 207 S. 1st St. (across from the post office). Worship begins at 10AM on Sundays and is followed by a fellowship meal and group discussion concluding with earnest prayer. Elder Plummer is teaching a series on How to Study the Bible on Tuesday evenings. A fellowship meal is provided at 5:30PM followed by the study from 6-7PM. The Fulton community is invited to visit us and participate in any of these things. For more information, please contact Kit Swartz at (517) 630-6325 or kitswartz@gmail.com.
