On Saturday, representatives from iHeart Oswego and the Greater Mexico Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of 6 Acres Farm Brewery’s taproom.
Located at 412 Fort Leazier Road (off of County Route 3), the brewery is situated on 6 picturesque acres of land owned by Behling Orchards. The brewery has been operated by Head Brewer Jenna Behling since 2019. Behling began experimenting with making beer in her home kitchen a number of years ago before turning it into a full-time business.
The business includes a full kitchen, with a food menu that includes Mexican street corn, sauerkraut, pickles, hot dogs, and more. The taproom is open Fridays 4-9, Saturdays 12-9 and Sundays 12-6.
Although it is a brewery at heart, there are a number of family-friendly features like an outdoor play area for kids and a kids’ corner inside. Outdoor seating overlooks the play area and a calm stream that runs across the back of the property.
The venue is available for private parties. For more information, contact 6 Acres by phone at (315) 806-2002 or find them on Facebook.
