Write a commentLate last week, officials from the City of Fulton and the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting to celebrate the completion of two projects.
C & A Fitzpatrick Properties has been working for several years to revitalize the building at 201 S. 2nd Street in Fulton. The space had laid empty for multiple years prior to the renovations, which were supported in large part by a Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) grant from the City of Fulton. In total, the interior and exterior work cost just over $66,000, with DRI funding covering $53,806.40. Work completed included automatic wheelchair-accessible doors, a new kitchenette, roofing and exterior paint, landscaping, signage, and energy-efficient LED lighting.
“[My wife Alexandra and I] noticed a lack of affordable office space for rent in downtown Fulton,” said Craig Fitzpatrick of C & A Fitzpatrick Properties, “and we are so grateful for the mayor and the City of Fulton team for all of their support in bringing this project to life.”

“This DRI project is a shining example of what we can accomplish when government, businesses, and community stakeholders work hand-in-hand,” said Mayor Jim Rice in his remarks ahead of the ribbon cutting. “It's more than just an investment in a building; it's an investment in our people, our economy, and our shared vision for a brighter future.”
In addition to cutting the ribbon on the building itself, officials also celebrated the opening of Fitzpatrick Financial by Craig Fitzpatrick, a full-service investment firm located in the building’s front office. “Owning the building turned this leap of faith into a natural transition,” Fitzpatrick noted. Fitzpatrick had been a part of Pathfinder Bank’s financial consulting team for 15 years prior to striking out on his own.
