Fused Glass artist Diane Chepko Sade will offer a class in making glass Valentines on Saturday, February 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the Riverside Artisans Classroom at Canal Commons. Diane’s fused glass artworks have delighted shoppers for years and now she will share some of her secrets with participants at this party.
Diane will supply all the materials and tools, as well as firing the participants’ works. All the participants have to bring is a little creativity and an eagerness to learn.
Each person will make 2 or 3 valentines during the Saturday class, gluing glass elements on either a square tile or a heart-shaped ornament. Diane will then take the ornaments to her shop to fire them over the weekend, and return them to the store Monday morning for participants to pick up in time for Valentine’s Day on Tuesday.
The cost of the class is $45--stop in to the Riverside Artisans shop at 191 W. 1st Street in Oswego to register for the class. A $10 deposit will reserve your place, with $35 due the day of the class.
