Obituaries

     Robert S. Alton, 64 of Oswego, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Syracuse.

     Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late James J. and Beatrice Sawyer Alton.
     Mr. Alton was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
     He had been employed as the night auditor at the Best Western Hotel, in Syracuse.
     He enjoyed bowling.
     Mr. Alton loved his family and is survived by four brothers James C. Alton, of Minetto, Thomas J. (Linda Marie) Alton, of Minetto, Mark W. Alton, of Scriba, Guy M. (Heather) Alton, of Oswego, eight sisters, Bonita M. Bradford, Cynthia (Robert) S. Pierce, Mary C. (Timothy) Dirk and Michele R. Alton, all of Oswego, Chrsytel L. Jennings, of California, Robin Louise (Paul) Ryberg, of Earlville, Melody R. (Robert) Costello, of Connecticut, Melinda Lu (Spencer) Anderson, of Tennessee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
     Graveside committal services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 17, from St. Paul's Cemetery.
     There are no calling hours.
     Arrangements are by Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
