Rocky Crucitti, 67, of Oswego, died unexpectedly on Friday August 17 while camping at Pocono Raceway with family and friends.
He was larger than life. Rocky was a loving husband, father, grandfather, soon to be great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle, godfather, and friend.
Rocky retired from the Laborer’s Local 214 and 643 and was currently a supervisor at Indian Point Energy Center in Buchanan, NY. Rocky was an avid race fan who was a second generation supermodified owner at the Oswego Speedway, following in his father Marty’s footsteps. He was a life-long Dallas Cowboy fan and a TREMENDOUS fisherman.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Sandra (Lass) Crucitti, Son Jason (Rebecca) Crucitti, Daughter Jodi (Randy) Perry, Daughter Sarah Crucitti, Son Rocky Crucitti II, his mother Virginia Crucitti, three brothers Thomas (Lois) Crucitti, Mickey (Carol) Crucitti, Rusty (Linda) Crucitti, one sister Angela (Pete) Ferlito, four grandchildren Randy Perry III, Jacob Crucitti, Jared Crucitti, and Frankie Comerford.
Rocky was predeceased by Father Martin Crucitti, Brother Kenneth Crucitti, Nephew Kenneth Crucitti II.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, August 23 from 4-7 pm at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
Private services will be held on Friday with a private burial to follow at Oswego Town Rural Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
