Write a commentRoger "Jim" VanBuren, 69, of Porter St. Oswego, passed away Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at Oswego Hospital.
Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late Walter Newton and Elmetta (Wallace) VanBuren.
Roger was a self-employed laborer in Oswego.
Surviving is his wife, Donnajean (Weldin); his children, Brett Fredette, of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; James VanBuren, of Oswego, Amy VanBuren, of Oswego, Hope McClemons, of Lacona, Michael Nelson, of Fulton, and Brandon Nelson, of Oswego; a sister, Rosemond Lamb, of Ontario; two brothers, Mike VanBuren and James Bogardus, both of Fulton; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, three sisters and a brother.
Services will be held privately.
