Kevin Carpenter, Disaster Program Manager for the American Red Cross local was a recent guest of Danielle Hayden, club member of Oswego Rotary. Carpenter spoke about the process for the Red Cross being dispatched during an emergency, fire, spill or disaster. Mr. Carpenter also mentioned a partnership with New York State and the American Red Cross to provide Citizen Preparedness training session throughout Central New York this fall. The session is called Prepare, Respond, Recover: What To Do When Disaster Strikes. Carpenter and Ms. Hayden responded to several questions in light of the recent announcement about the Oswego American Red Cross office closing and assured members services would still be provided.
