On Earth Day, April 22, Plant-a-Tree program coordinators and sponsors met with students in Roger Sprague's class at the Kingsford Park Elementary School to deliver Norway spruce seedlings and educational materials for grades kindergarten through fifth.
Now in its 23rd year, the program is coordinated by Oswego County Soil and Water Conservation and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County 4-H and sponsored by Entergy Nuclear Northeast and Oswego County Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs. More than100,000 seedlings have been donated since the inception of the project.
