Write a commentThe Oswego County Traffic Safety Board is pleased to announce an upcoming Car Seat Check Event.
On April 24th, 2021 from 1pm-4pm located at Oswego Town Volunteer Fire Dept. We will be offering free car seat checks to help ensure proper use, answer any caregiver questions, and offer support and education to all attendees on proper car seat use and installation. Certified car seat technicians from various agencies will be on hand to assist. Appointments are necessary to participate in this event, to schedule a time slot simply call 315-343-2344 ext. 22. All persons must wear a face covering during their appointment. Car seat checks usually last between 30 and 45 minutes.
Board Coordinator Kyle Boeckmann said “This is going to be a great event, free to the entire Oswego County Community”. About 90 percent of all car seats are installed incorrectly according to recent polling and it is our mission with this event to ensure seats are used properly to ensure the safety of all children. We would also like to thank Oswego Town Volunteer Fire Dept for hosting the event at their station.
