Sharon A. (Phillips) Topley, 64, a resident of Elm Street in Oswego, passed away Wednesday at her home, following a long battle with ALS.
Sharon was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late John F. and Helen (Krupa) Phillips Reidy. She was a life resident of Oswego.
She was a graduate of Oswego High School.
She was employed, for 44 years, with SUNY-Oswego, retiring as the Purchasing Manager for Auxiliary Services.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn Topley of Oswego; two sisters, Kathy Evans of Louisiana, and Sandy Shonitsky of Oswego; a brother, John (Judy) Phillips of Scriba; six nephews, Ricky Waters of Louisiana, Brian Shonitsky of Rochester, John Phillips of Oswego, Kyle Topley of Oswego, Scott Topley of Baldwinsville, and Patrick Topley of Baldwinsville; four nieces, Tammy Dollar of Louisiana, Taylor Phillips of Oswego, Hunter Topley of Oswego, and Michelle Vignari of Rochester; and seven great- nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00pm Friday, January 24th, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Morisette will officiate.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 Friday, January 24th, prior to the service, at the funeral home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
