Shirley L. Stevens, 70, of Oswego, died Wednesday, July 3, 2013, in the Oswego Hospital.
Mrs. Stevens was born in Oswego and was a daughter of the late James and Mildred Pullen Piazza. She was the wife of Calvin O. Stevens.
She had been employed as a cook for many years at the Meadowbrook Nursing Home, in Hannibal, and was previously employed at the Ladies Home in Oswego.
She was a life resident of the Oswego area.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Marcia (James) (Stevens) Kray and Elizabeth (Stevens) Wadleigh, both of Oswego; two sons, William Daniel Stevens, of Oswego, and Nathan Stevens, of Syracuse; three brothers, James Piazza, Dominic Piazza and Richard Piazza, all of Oswego; one sister, Annette (Chris) Fragle, of Oswego; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two children, Calvin Stevens II and Angela Stevens; and three brothers, David Piazza, Paul Piazza and Matthew Piazza.
Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours will be held from 4-7 p.m., Monday, July 8, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 E. Second St., Oswego.
