Oswego Speedway will again be represented in this year’s 8th annual DT100 for Make-A-Wish charity kart racing event to be held on Saturday, February 27 at the Maine Indoor Karting Center in Scarborough, Maine.

Oswego Speedway PR representative and former Speedway racer Dan Kapuscinski as well as Speedway race team crew members Corey Norton Jr. and Brad Wygant, will all make the journey from Central New York to Maine to participate in the event and help support the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Establised in 2009 by David Thomas Jr., the DT100 for Make-A-Wish has grown to become one of the largest and most successful charity karting events in the country. The event has successfully brought together some of the nation’s best short track drivers from over a dozen states to compete against their fans, with all proceeds benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Last season the DT100 raised over $33,000 for Make-A-Wish, bringing its seven year total to over $158,000.

Drivers in this year’s event include current and former Supermodified racers Kapuscinski, Joey Scanlon, Mike Netishen, Russ Wood, and Mike Ordway Jr. Joining the Super shoes will be other top pilots including Burt and Jason Myers of the hit TV show “Madhouse” as well as NEMA Midget ace Randy Cabral and two-time NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour champion, Andy Seuss.

Some 100 entries will contend in three separate divisions looking for one of 36 main event qualifying spots in the 8th annual DT100.
