There are only two sides to a fence and when it comes to squirrels, you are on one side or the other. Love them or hate them, squirrels are here to stay.

This is the experience of one Oswego squirrel fan.

"Timing is everything." said Sue Matthews, an Oswego resident "This is one of a litter of three, born way too late in the season. They haven't had time to learn survival skills before the Artic Vortex arrived and the squirrels are still quite small. He has been perched here with his tail wrapped over his head like an umbrella for a while. He hasn't figured a way to walk in the snow without getting his feet wet and cold. His older siblings are tunneling beneath it, while he sets up there and hollers. Finally he came down and grabbed his peanut butter and bird seed, right after Joey shoveled him a bare spot on the deck he could leap to. Spoiled but still alive. Many times animals born out of season don't make it."
