The Riverview Room at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego was the scene for a special gathering by friends and family, who joined to pay tribute to local musician and educator Hugh Burritt.

Mr. Burritt, a longtime former SUNY Oswego music professor and department chair was joined by his wife Grace for an afternoon of music, performed by friends and colleagues that included David Welsch, Tony Joseph, Eddie Goodness, Redd Swindells, Bill Palange, and Joe Cortini. Burritt’s son Jamie even joined the band to perform a special vocal number in honor of his dad.

As a musician Burritt once placed with legendary jazz greats such as Nat King Cole and Tony Bennett. Donna Rose, Director of Activities joined forces with Mrs. Burritt in organizing this wonderful afternoon of music and comradery.
