St. Luke Residents Catch Some Fun This Summer

Despite the fact that the fish weren’t biting during a recent trip, residents at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego have been busy catching fun all summer long.

Trips to favorite destinations like Bullhead Point on Lake Neatahwanta in Fulton for some fishing have been keeping folks active and connected with their community.

“It is a real advantage to have our own bus capable of serving residents on the entire St. Luke healthcare campus,” Donna Rose, director of activities, said.

The fish may not be biting, but folks at St. Luke are still catching plenty of fun this summer. Residents at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego have spent this summer getting “out and about” with outings to favorite destinations around the area. Whether it is a trip to the casino, lunch at a favorite spot, a concert in the park, or taking part in an activity they have enjoyed all their lives, the St. Luke bus has been logging the miles on area roadways.

A look at the recent resident activity calendar shows more trips planned this month with stops at Fort Ontario, the Fulton Jazz Fest, a Syracuse Chiefs game, lunch at “The Loop” and the Farmer’s Market.

“To go along with our trips and outings, we have a full calendar of activities and entertainment taking place right here at St. Luke, with a little something for everyone,” Rose said.

St. Luke residents really are spending this summer catching fun, even when the fish aren’t biting.
