Staff from across the St. Luke Family of Caring have been doing some extra walking around the healthcare campus lately in preparation for the upcoming Relay For Life event taking place June 13 and 14 at the Oswego High School Track.
The Relay For Live event raises money in support of the American Cancer Society and the battle to help end cancer.
This year, the “St. Luker’s” team consists of employees, residents, their families and friends, all of whom will take part in the event. St. Luke Relay For Life team organizer Chancy Matott said the number of employees involved and the support received on behalf of this event has grown year after year.
“The participation and support from the employees of our organization has been fantastic and we have nearly reached our team goal of raising $3,500 on behalf of the American Cancer Society,” Matott said. “Many people on our team, whether residents or staff, have had their lives touched by this disease or know someone who has, and we thank everyone who has supported our team and the Relay For Life of Oswego event from across our organization and across the community.”
