Oswego's Stone's Homemade Candy and Ice Cream, located at 145 W. Bridge St., is celebrating a milestone this year in business.
"I can't believe it has been 40 years," said Don Regan, who co-owns the shop with his mother, Marg Stachowicz..
Don's father, Jan Stachowicz, was a research technician for Nestle's who purchased the businesss in 1973. Don said he has worked in the business since it opened.
"But we know it is our customers who are the reason for our success and longevity," Don said. "We want to let our customers know how much we appreciate them and want them to help us celebrate our 40th anniversary."
To do that, Stone's Homemade Candy and Ice Cream shop will be handing out a special token of appreciation to every customers who visits the store Thursday, May 23.
