The Art Scene is illuminating the night sky with its newly installed exterior lights.

The theater’s façade now boasts a stunning new look, thanks to the addition of a custom made sign Designed by the Art Scene’s Interim Executive Director Bonnie McClellan, with LED Neon flexible lighting.

The new lighting system not only enhances the theater's aesthetic appeal but also improves visibility and safety for patrons. The multi colored changeable lights create a welcoming and inviting atmosphere, drawing attention to the theater and its vibrant cultural offerings.

“We are thrilled with the transformation of our theater’s exterior,” said Bonnie McClellan, Interim Executive Director at the Art Scene. “These new lights not only elevate our building's appearance but also symbolize the creativity and energy that thrives within our walls.”

The lighting project was made possible through the DRI project grant and an ARPA grant.  We could not have made the project possible without the funding of these two organizations. The Art Scene extends its gratitude to Universal Metal for being able to design the sign and install it, Knapp Electric of Fulton for coming a minutes notice to power it up, and volunteer Mike Peterson for his time and precision in mounting all the clips that hold the lights, and for all of their support in bringing this project to fruition.  This was a custom made and personally put together sign to get what the Center was looking for, it came out simply amazing.

The theater invites the community to experience the new lighting firsthand if you didn’t attend the performances of Space Race or Alice @ Wonderland, come see Sense & Sensibility with show dates September 20-29th or simply taking a stroll past the building.

The Art Scene is getting notice for more than just its exterior lighting, by having high quality shows, an open atmosphere for actors and students alike.  It is truly a fun and inviting place to be.
