The Scriba Food Pantry needs your help

The Scriba Food Pantry has served thousands of meals over the years to many residents in the town of Scriba. The pantry has, in fact, given out more than 1,000 meals in just the last three months.

"We have recently lost some much needed funding," said a spokesperson for the pantry. "Anyone who feels led to contribute money to this fund, can mail a check to: Scriba Food Pantry, c/o United Baptist Church of Scriba, 5111 104 East, Oswego, NY 13126."
For those who prefer to donate food items, they can be left inside the double doors at the front of the church on one of the two benches.
Here is a list of canned items that the pantry always needs: peaches, pears, corn, beans, tomato soup, chicken noodle soup, tomatoes, tuna, pork and beans. Also regularly used are crackers, spaghetti and macaroni noodles, and macaroni and cheese box mixes.
"Other items are accepted too," the spokesperson said. "If you'd like to contact us online, go to http://www.facebook.com/ScribaBaptistChurch and leave us a message there, we check it every day. You can also leave a phone message at the church at 315-343-8542. Thank you in advance for anything you can do!"
