A tribute to Valentine's Day - brought to you by Theatre Du Jour, this truly was a social event and a night to remember! "Thank you to all who came out to support both local food and local theatrical talent last night at our hugely successful dinner theatre performance of 'Love Letters,'" Bistro 197 owner Bill Wadsworth said. "This city is very lucky to have the level of entrepreneurship that we are all able to enjoy."
The restaurants were decked out in cupid's colors, a variable Valentine's celebration from the sparkly hearts that hung about, to the antique frames on each table showcasing the top 20 most famous love stories in history & literature.
Patrons enjoyed cocktail hour with soothing music from Gina Holsopple and Matthew Wood, sweet treats from Man in the Moon Candies and a photo booth experience, chock full of fun props & costumes and photographer Tristi Barlow of Rosebuds Photography. "It was great food and great company," I Heart Corp. co-founder Victoria Usherwood Gailinas said. "We had our photo taken by Tristi Barlow and read great short love stories that were on our table."
On to the main event... the dinner... and the show... the delectable delights that came from the kitchen made hearts swoon and the actors, directed by local favorite Bobby Fontana, took the audience on a spectacular journey, sharing love letters that spanned a lifetime for two amazing characters, brought to life by Mark Cole and Banna Rubinow. Glorious Prizes were given away at intermission courtesy of JP Jewelers and Maida's Floral Shop.
