Thomas W. Jermyn, 87, of Oswego, died October 17, 2017, at Upstate University.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Elmer M. and Helena F. (Wright) Jermyn.
Thomas served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict as a Crew Chief of a B-29, bomber.
He worked as a nuclear operator for over 25 years at Niagara Mohawk and before that, he worked for the Oswego Fire Department for 7 years.
Thomas enjoyed duck hunting.
Surviving are his wife, Rose (Mahunik); his sons, Michael (Trinh) Jermyn of NYC, James (Rhonda) Jermyn of Massachusetts, Stephen (Wendy) Jermyn of Maryland; his brother, John “Jack” (Karen) Jermyn of Oswego; his sisters, Helen Jermyn and Anne Bishop; his seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held, 4-7 Thursday, from the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
Funeral services will be held 10 am Friday, from St. Paul’s Church.
Burial will be held in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
