Write a commentThe Tri-County Chorus, which is made up of singers from many different churches within Oswego, Cayuga and Wayne counties, has begun rehearsals for this year's Cantata, "On This Shining Night" by Lee Dengler and Susan Naus Dengler.
Directed by Michelle and Terry Pawlenko, rehearsals are at 2 p.m. Sundays at the West Baptist Church, located at 39 W. Mohawk St., in Oswego.
"On This Shining Night is a creative cantata, which includes energetic and upbeat songs as well as reflective and reverent pieces," Terry said, who is also the accompaniest. "Our chorus open to all interested singers whether they attend a church or not and rides are always available."
Performances include the three represented Churches and some area nursing homes.
Anyone interested in performing with the Tri-County Chorus may simply drop by the church during a rehearsal and join in.
