Write a commentThe Hamlin-Weldon and the Stone-Davis American Legion Posts invite you to visit the Vietnam Memorial Wall, or Moving wall, which is set up for viewing in the field behind New Haven Fire Dept., 4211 state Route 104 in New Haven.
The Moving Wall travels nationwide and although it does not have every name of those lost in the Vietnam War, it does have 52,248 names. It is open for viewing 24 hours from now through Memorial Day and will close with a ceremony between 5-6 p.m., May 27.
The Moving Wall is the culmination of four years of work between American Legion Posts 1532 and 384 to bring it to New Haven and coincides with town's bicentennial celebration.
