Sixty people attended the annual volunteer reception that was held at the American Foundry.

This is a signature event where the museum staff formally recognizes the many volunteers that make the programming, events and management of the facilities at H Lee White Maritime Museum, possible.

"We have over 130 volunteers this year. Some may only volunteer for a few hours but play a critical role like being our Santa Claus! Others spend much more time with us working on the Lighthouse restoration, guiding visitors and tours or in the case of this year’s volunteer of the year, Michael J. Brown painted the National Historic Landmark WWII Tug, LT-5." stated executive director Mercedes Neiss. "We are honored to work with these wonderful and generous people and our supporters came from all over to celebrate and applaud the awardees.”

Congratulations to all for an outstanding job.
