Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Walter F. and Clara (Southworth) Brown. Walter retired as First Sergeant in the U.S. Army, serving from 1954-1978. He was a Supervisor for International Paper (Formerly Hammermill). He enjoyed model trains, camping, and was an SU fan.
Surviving is one daughter, Lisa (Richard) Stepien; three sons, William (Jill) Brown, Michael (Dana) Brown, and David (Marla) Brown; four brothers, George (Darlene "Dolly") Brown, Gerald (Linda) Brown, James (Gloria "Cookie") Brown, and Gary (Joanne) Brown; one sister, Karen (Edward) Rappleye; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. Services will be at the convenience of the family.
