The Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center is hosting a special program aimed at educating children and adults about the importance of wildlife conservation and animal care.

This program, taking place on Friday, April 18th at 10:00 a.m., will give participants the opportunity to learn firsthand about the rehabilitation process from a NYS DEC licensed wildlife rehabilitator in a safe and educational setting. Wendi from Whispering Woods Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation will be the guest presenter, sharing her experiences and knowledge with participants. Now that it's spring and many animals and their young are emerging from their dens, Wendi will discuss what you should do if you find injured or orphaned wildlife. Registration is required for this program. The Center is asking everyone who attends to please bring an item or two from the following list as Wendi's rehabilitation center runs entirely on donations: baby wipes, paper towels, baby toys that can be easily cleaned, baby blankets, puppy pads, puppy/kitten food.

The fee for this program is only $4 per person, or $12 for a family. Children under the age of three are free! The recommended age for these programs is 5+. All youth must be accompanied by an adult.
