William J. King, 87 of Mexico passed away Monday afternoon at the Syracuse VA Medical Center.
He was born in Oswego and was the son of the late Frank and Helen St. John King.
Mr. King started his career as a insurance and real estate professional. He went on to become a successful home builder and property developer. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in the Philippines during WWII.
Mr. King is survived by one son Frank F. King of Oswego, two sisters Barbara Bellinger of Oswego, Natalie Cochran of Philadelphia, PA, two grandchildren John Sherman of Mexico, Suzanne King of Hannibal, two great grandchildren Aidan Sherman and Skylar Sherman.
He was predeceased by a daughter Christine Sherman.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
