Writer's Cafe returns to The Art Scene (née CNY Arts Center) this weekend after an extended sabbatical.
Hosted by Jim Farfaglia, members of the public are invited to bring a short piece of their writing to share with the group, or join in the festivities as part of the audience.
Farfaglia says, "What I feel is important in these times is for creatives and like-minded folk to have a sense of community. I'm a writer and it's a solitary activity, so when you're able to connect with others, or present your work in front of those who might appreciate it, it can be a very encouraging part of the process.”
Freshly brewed coffee will be available, and Farfaglia promises this to be a "fun, no pressure environment for authors of all levels of experience. And if you're not sure your work is at a place to be read aloud, come and be a support!"
Writer's Cafe is this Sunday, 1PM, February 23rd, at The Art Scene, 121 Cayuga Street, Fulton.
