Mrs. Genova was born in Lackawanna, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Pomko) Leszak.
Mrs. Genova enjoyed gardening and watching and feeding the birds. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her children Michael A. (Janice) Genova Jr., of Colorado, Mary Genova, of Oswego, and Michele ( Jim) Hendrickson, of Georgia; four grandchildren, Jona, Angelo, Marie and Elizabeth; and her great-great-grandson, Zachary.
Mrs. Genova was predeceased by her husband Michael A. Genova, in 1995; and her siblings, John Leszak; and sister, Mary Andzel.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, July 6, from St. Joseph's Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Greg Kreinheder.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 4-6 p.m., at the Sugar and Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.
