Write a commentThe Zonta Club of Oswego is currently accepting applications for their Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) scholarship. The deadline for submitting applications is March 17, 2017.
This is a tiered application process. The local winner is submitted to the Zonta District for an additional chance to win and that applicant goes to on Zonta International, providing opportunity to win $500 at the local level, $1,000 at the district level and $4,000 at the international level.
The YWPA scholarship focuses on the applicant’s involvement in the community and is not based on academics (no transcript is required). Students from districts from around Oswego County are encouraged to apply.
Applications can be obtained from high school counseling offices or by contacting ingaback@yahoo.com. Completed applications can also be sent to this email address or can be mailed to Inga Back, 100 Valley View Drive, Oswego, NY 13126.
