Maker Madness, Hosted by The Zonta Club of Oswego and Penfield Library will be happening on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm.

Maker Madness is a free, family event where people of all ages can come to learn, play, and create.

The event is designed for children of all ages the opportunity to become scientists, explorers, engineers, artists and so much more! 

"The Zonta Club of Oswego is excited to bring the community together for our annual Makers Madness event in celebration of International Women's Day on March 8th", shares Kristin LaBarge, Zonta's Club of Oswego President.   "Maker's Madness is a fantastic opportunity for children to explore the exciting world of STEAM!  This hands-on event ignites curiosity and fosters creativity through engaging activities led by talented makers.  It's a must-attend for anyone who loves to learn and create.  This valuable event supports the Zonta Club of Oswego's mission in advancing the status of women and girls and we couldn't be happier to partner with wonderful organizations to offer it in our community."     

At the event, scientists, hobbyists, tinkerers and artists of all types demonstrate their skills and lead attendees through a wide range of projects. Activities are all hands-on and explore the worlds of science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). Past activities include robotics, coding, chemistry, crafts, Legos, and much more. It's an afternoon of fun and discovery.

Event sponsors include SUNY Oswego, Novelis, and Bluum Technologies.

Admission to Maker Madness is free and no registration is necessary. Free parking is available in Lot 1 (north of the Library on Lake Ontario). All attendees will be entered into a raffle to win a Chromebook donated by Bluum Technologies.

Per SUNY Oswego Policy, children under age 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the event.
