The SUNYAC announces its 2025 women's volleyball annual awards including Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the year and All-Conference Teams as voted on by the conference coaches.

Player of the Year - Kira Pirrera, Cortland
Pirrera totaled 106 kills in conference competition averaging 4.6 points per set this season. She led the league with 22 service aces (.076 per set) in league play. She leads the league with 422 kills and 505 points overall. She also has 325 digs and 50 blocks so far this season. Pirrera had a season high 22 kills and 27 points against Gettysburg on September 20. She also had season highs of 28 digs, six aces and four blocks in 2025. As the No. 1 seed going into post season play, Pirrera helped Cortland win its fifth straight SUNYAC title. The team is currently 24-7 overall going into NCAA play where they will travel to Virginia Wesleyan University for an eight-team regional.

Defensive Player of the Year - Alyssa Rich, CortlandRich toaled 129 digs (4.45 digs per set) in regular season conference competition this season. She had a season high of 26 digs against UMass Boston on August 29. Rich helped her team go undefeated in regular season conference competition, 9-0, to earn the No. 1 seed . She was named to the SUNYAC All-Tournament team after totaling 25 digs in the semifinal and final matches en route to winning the league crown with a 3-0 win over No. 2 Oswego. The Red Dragons will advance to the NCAA Division III tournament where they will face Christopher Newport in the first round, November 20 at 11:30 a.m.

Rookie of the Year - Alaina Dudzinski, Oswego
Dudzinski led the league with 33 total blocks in regular season conference play and was second with 28 block assists. She led the conference in overall block assists with 75 and was second with 93 total blocks in 2025. Dudzinski was also ranked fourth in conference play with a .299 hitting percentage. She had a season high of eight total blocks vs. Canton on October 28. She helped the Lakers clinch the No. 2 seed after regular season conference play and advanced to the SUNYAC championship match. Oswego ended the season with a 20-9 overall record.

Coach of the Year - Geoff Braun, FredoniaBraun has been the head women's volleyball coach at Fredonia since 1999. He clinched his 500th career win against Oneonta on November 1. This season Braun guided his team to the No. 4 seed going into post season play. The Devils fell short to No. 5 Buffalo State, 3-2, in the first round of the SUNYAC tournament. Braun coached two All-SUNYAC team selections this season. Fredonia ended its 2025 campaign 12-16 overall.
